Grey Clouds by Dearboy is a 1992 Tribal House track which was far ahead of its time. The voice cry sample is pulled directly from a Hans Zimmer track, released that same year, titled The Rainmaker, is both beautiful and haunting. It may be more recognizable as the primary vocal sample in Raincry by the late Scott Hardkiss (aka God Within), released a year later in 1993.
For me the true power of this track comes from both the simple yet intricate rhythm section as well as the tribal chant which appears later.
At 34 years old, this piece would qualify as a classic, yet it holds up as well as, if not better than many of the electronic being released presently.
